Anguilla

Colonized by English settlers from Saint Kitts in 1650, Anguilla was administered by Great Britain until the early 19th century, when the island - against the wishes of the inhabitants - was incorporated into a single British dependency along with Saint Kitts and Nevis. Several attempts at separation failed. In 1971, two years after a revolt, Anguilla was finally allowed to secede; this arrangement was formally recognized in 1980 with Anguilla becoming a separate British dependency.

In 1987 just after leaving as a Vice President of American Express, I realized that people would increasingly want their travel agents to have the kind of expertise that they expected from their doctors, lawyers and accountants. I founded a travel agency specialized in only the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda. Over the years, I have stayed on almost every island and visited virtually every hotel. I attend trade shows and educational seminars particular to the region, and my expertise grows by booking the Caribbean every day. You benefit because: I can listen to your expectations and match them to the perfect island vacation, I can compare the often subtle differences between islands and hotels, and I can efficiently and flawlessly arrange your vacation to even the least well known islands and hotels.

Why not plan your trip with the author that wrote the book on the destination? I have authored guidebooks on both the Caribbean and Cook Islands, with my third guide on Palau in the planning stage. I specialize in "off the beaten path adventure travel," and feature many accomodations that are not available from other sources.
