Tiree
From Celts to kilts, castles to clans, tartans to thistle, lochs to links, heather to haggis, to a wee dram at a distillery, these are some of the evocative images of the Scotland I know and love. Imagine deep verdant glens weaving their way through imposing mountains. Menacing, brooding castles set amidst highlands and lowlands cloaked with the explosive colors of native wildflowers. Sophisticated and culture rich cities with urbane and gracious residents. There are so many portraits that make up the mosaic of the visually stunning and always welcoming country of Scotland.
The landscapes are phenomenal. Unlike most of Europe, Scotland is home to boundless tracts of unspoilt countryside. From the highlands to the lowlands, to the windswept and isolated islands, to the mirror like magical and mysterious lakes that abound everywhere, Scotland serves up a feast of natural beauty.
If you haven’t been to Scotland, then why wait? If you have been before, then surely it harkens you back with the intensity of the very deep Scottish soul. As the Scots would say ‘Haste ye back with Godspeed!’
