Friday
Depart from USA on overnight flight (not inc)
Saturday
Arrive at Glasgow airport by 11 am and meet tour director
and coach driver and head north over the Erskine Bridge and
on up to Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond where we stop for
time to take photos, explore the village and have lunch at
a local cafe (not inc.) We continue north and west over to
the Rest and Be Thankful where we stop to take photos of the
beautiful scenery. Head on to Inveraray where we have a tour
of this beautiful castle which belongs to the Duke of Argyll.
We head on towards Oban to our hotel for the evening. Welcome
Dinner included.
Sunday
After breakfast we have time to explore the town before we
meet at 1pm to have a guided tour of the Oban Distillery then
we head north out of town with a stop at Dunstaffnage castle,
a historical ruined castle, before we head north to Port Appin
where we stop at the new Castle Stalker visitor center (if
opened) where we have a great view of the castle sitting out
on an islet in Loch Linnhe. We take a slight detour to visit
the valley of Glencoe where the MacDonald's were massacred
in their beds in 1692 and we visit the new visitor centre.
Continue on Ardgour on the Corran Ferry to our hotel for the
evening. Dinner on own.
Monday
We head north through the Ardnamurchan Peninsula to Glenfinnan
where we visit the famous Glenfinnan Monument where Bonnie
Prince Charlie raised his standard before the battle of Culloden,
then we head on into Ft William with some time to explore
and have lunch before we continue north to Inverness, stopping
at Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness for a visit and
boat ride on Loch Ness. Head to hotel for the evening outside
of Inverness, inc. dinner and a ceilidh.
Tuesday
After our good Scottish breakfast, we have morning visit to
Clava Burial cairns and standing stones, nearby Culloden Battlefield
and the Made in Scotland shop at Beauly, before we head south
through the Cairngorm Mountains to the shores of Loch Rannoch
to our hotel for the next two evenings. Dinner inc.
Wednesday
We meet our local guide and head east to Pitlochry where we
have an optional tour of Edradour Distillery the smallest
distillery in Scotland, followed by some free time in the
town famous for it's knitwear with time for lunch, before
we head to Aberfeldy to visit the historical Menzies Castle,
with a short stop at the Queens' View, which was said by Queen
Victoria to be the most beautiful view in Scotland.
We return to our hotel for the evening at Kinloch Rannoch.

Thursday
Today we head south to Edinburgh where we head to Edinburgh
castle for a chance to tour the castle (on your own) followed
by free time to explore on your own, either a visit to Museums,
haunted underground tours or any of the other many sites around
the city inc. some wonderful shopping. We check into our aparthotel
just off the Royal Mile. Dinner on own. Optional pub crawl
down the Royal Mile (Not Inc.).
Friday
We have a morning visit to the historical Rosslyn Chapel,
filled with awesome carved columns and lots of mystical carvings.
We continue south through the Borders country to Neidpath
Castle sitting on the banks of the River Tweed outside of
Peebles, a much haunted historical castle, followed by some
free afternoon in Peebles before we continue to our hotel
in the Clyde Valley for the evening. Final night dinner Inc.
Saturday
After our good Scottish breakfast we depart for Glasgow Airport
and our return flights home to the USA.
